Tony Oswin has spent the majority of his career in business consultancy, from 1985 to 1995 as senior managing consultant with the highly respected change management consultants Hardy Coutts Hammersley.
In 1995, Hardy Coutts Hammersley were commissioned to undertake a major research project for a leading British PLC. As managing consultant, Tony was tasked with identifying the knowledge requirements of personnel to alow them to radically improve the identification and implementation of ‘positive change’ initiatives within the organisation. On completion of the research and project Tony employed the data to write ‘The Business’ , to aid other companies and managers in gaining a fundamental knowledge of the prime business drivers.
In 1996 the book led Tony to launch McCarthy Oswin Limited, to present the philosophies of ‘The Business’ as a management development process. ‘The Business’ process is a highly pragmatic approach to directly improving management’s focus on company and market opportunities and realising both ‘quick win’ and long-term strategic initiatives.
The reputation gained for the process has led McCarthy Oswin to work with many leading companies in such diverse marketplaces as automotive, construction, media, travel, food retailing and steel.
