Ciaran has spent some 26 years in Sales, Management and Training positions with two major pharmaceutical organisations following 10 years in the electronics field including a period as a seagoing Radio Officer in the Mercantile Marine.
During his time in pharmaceuticals he gained valuable experience as a Medical Representative, a Sales Manager and a Training and Development Manager.
Ciaran is a Chartered member of the "Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development" and in recent years has been responsible for development of people at all levels in a highly successful U.K. based multinational organisation. He has been successful in managing the organisation through a process leading to its recognition as an "Investor in People" and has gained valuable experience in this high profile government backed initiative. He is now an independent training consultant.
He has run many training and development events including Selling Skills, Team Building, Telephone Skills, Negotiation Skills, Presentation Skills, Recruitment and Selection and Management Skills in all the main areas of responsibility for modern executives and members of staff - including personnel from the N.H.S.
In addition to training events, Ciaran has provided service as a facilitator for groups and teams in the private and the public sector.
He has also provided coaching on a one to one basis in such areas as Career Coaching, Interpersonal Effectiveness and 360 Feed Back interpretation and use.
Ciaran is an Accredited Master Facilitator for the ‘Impact and Influence’ and the ‘Communication and Problem Solving at Work’ programmes provided by Value Projects Ltd – each of which can attract formal post graduate accreditation through The University of Chester. The emphasis in these and associated programmes is placed firmly on the principles and practise of Action Learning.
