Alan has created and oversees the business development organisation, The Oakbridge Group. Together with his partners, they supply a range of bespoke Business Development Services, including Management Consultancy, Skill Development Workshops, Personal Development Mentoring, and On-line Services.
The services provided by Alan have been supplied to organisations in both the public and private sectors, here in the UK, and more especially, overseas. The organisations using their services range in size from under twenty persons, up to major employers, including the N.H.S., Philips, Whirlpool, Beckman, Volvo, Tyco, Cookson and Siemens.
Alan advises many organisations, both large and small, on how to cope with the various challenges of business change, whether growing, remaining stable, or exiting a market. This also includes mergers, takeovers, brand re-launching, and marketing techniques; including e-commerce.
Alan's extensive experience is drawn from nearly thirty years of performing many roles on a fully International basis. These roles were in Sales, Service, Manufacturing, General Management and various Directorships. His trading portfolio is extensive and involves buying as well as selling, using specialised trading techniques for "soft currency", “politically remote” and "third-world" markets..
Far from a theorist Alan continues to expand his own business interests and has recently become MD of a new business Oakbridge Scientific Limited. In Alan's role he is directing a team to bring an unknown supplier of scientific products based in South Korea to the entire European marketplace, using a network of distributors to sell and support his products.
