Testimonials for Ian Disley

Joyce Harman, Access Co-ordinator, David Lister School
December 2006
In October 2006 David Lister set up a working partnership with 'Endeavour Training'.
The excellent working partnership that has developed is due to you, Ian Disley and the fact that the activities/environment offered by 'Endeavour Training' exactly meets the needs of the pupils. The David Lister pupils who are currently following the course have a variety of needs but the flexibility and various levels of the course means that all their needs can be met.
Pupils who lack the following:
· Confidence
· Self-esteem
· Communication Skills
· Problem Solving Skills
· Decision-making Skills
· Team-work Skills
· Handling Conflict
· Relationships with adults and peers
have shown massive improvement in these various areas.
We firmly believe that this is due to the wide range of opportunities/experiences provided by the course and the many and varied qualities of the staff led by Ian. The improvement pupils have made has been reflected by their improved attendance, attitude and increased maturity. Other members of staff as well as parents have commented on this.
We at the David Lister Transition Programme genuinely believe that 'Endeavour Training' greatly contributes to the pupil's personal development and raising achievements.

Ms Claire P Grogan, Operations Manager, Carter and Carter Group Plc
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to our "One Company One Vision Conference" At the Nottingham Ice Arena on 22/11/06 where you very kindly agreed to be a guest speaker in front of an audience of 1,700!
I was so impressed with your professional attitude and lack of nerves, that I have written a brief testimonial.
"Ian invested time to understand the context of the talk and the themes we wished him to reinforce. He delivered a speech that was right on-target. It further built on the events of the day and was engaging and thought provoking for our audience. As a result, we received very positive feedback from everyone involved.
The poise, passion and commitment Ian showed in his work is infectious and I think everyone in attendance appreciated the candor with which he spoke. It is a wonderful treat to be able to listen to a speaker of his caliber and I know it was appreciated by all those in the room."

E Patterson
About a year and 6 months ago to put it mildly I had nothing to show for my life and life was passing me by quickly. So I decided to make a difference and I approached Ian Disley of the Education Bureau who from that day changed my life, encouraged and supported me when I had doubts about myself and with the hard work I put in since then I have achieved passing a CompTIA A+ Hardware Technology exam and only failed the OS Technology exam by a mere 4%. But regardless of whether I failed or not the OS Technology exam, I have now just been offered an opportunity of a lifetime as a PC Support & Installation Engineer for one of the biggest IT companies in the UK with a chance to show what I can do and shall do as I continue to study with the e-learning system, so my status in the company will grow. So my advice to anyone who believes it can’t be done on their own or through e-learning is to put your fears away as it can be done and I am living proof.
